Hi,
I drive my wife's 2016 QX50 occasionally, and love it. One annoying eccentricity is that, when the wipers are turned on, the driver's side sweep ends about 4-5" from the A-pillar. Not the end of the world by any means, but it does leave your left peripheral vision looking through rain spatter.

Does anyone know if the wiper linkage is adjustable? I may tear into it next weekend - just wondering if anyone had experienced the same thing and knows "a trick" to get the driver's wiper located a bit higher on the shaft. In the old days, the wiper shaft was a simple spline, and you could just remove the arm, index it, and push it back on. I'm thinking newer vehicles aren't this simple ...

This Forum doesn't get a whole lot of action.

Thanks for pointing this out ~ Now I'll be looking for the result of this oddity next time it rains

Being one for quick and easy results, I'd buy some " Rain X " and apply it heavily so the water beads away quickly rather than reengineering the Wiper Sweep area, but that's just me.

Take this response with grain of humor and sarcasm ~ that is what is meant to contribute.

Well ... that was easier than expected. Pop the hood, remove the decorative cover from the wiper arm, remove a retaining nut, re-index the arm and reverse the above to button it up.

The windshield had been replaced a while back and I hadn't driven the vehicle in the rain since then. Looks like the installer was off by 2 teeth when re-installing the wiper arm.

Happy for the easy fix!
