All QX50 are equipped with run flat tires. I would feel better having spare tire with me. With that said: will spare tires from other Infitini models fit QX50? If so, which models?

I as well just bought a new QX50 last week and am actively looking for info on a spare as well. Have you got any information tyet concerning your hunt for info on this yet?

I am going to call my dealer and see if they can help me and if that does not work, I am wondering if I just buy one from a junked 60 and see if it works. OR if they let me try it on in the parking lot to see if it would work enough to get by.. LMK if anyone has any viable info on this as I am wondering if the bolt pattern is the same. If I could get the bolt pattern dimensions, I could probably try and source something that would work from a tire dealer somewhere. I am also wondering if it would actually fit in the tire well in the back. I know you would lose your plastic deep well under storage box if we tried to put the spare inside there. I hate the fact that the vehicle did not come with a spare as well. grrrr.

Sorry for the late response.

I did speak to my local parts guy at the dealership and he checked on the lug pattern size of the 60 compared to the 50 and he said the 60 spare tire/rim that comes with the 60 would fit. He also checked with his friend at Nissan and they found out the Murano and Pathfinder spare set are all the same for the Nissan vehicles and the 60 from Infiniti.

Now, here is the kicker part. My guy at my local infiniti dealership advised the spare rim/tire combo would be around $300.00 (new0 mounted and balanced as the tire does not come on the rim of course. I called Nissan (thinking it would be cheaper) and it was going to cost me even more than infiniti, go figure.

As of this time, I have not purchased one yet from either place cause I am trying to kick around the expense versus my leasing the vehicle for 39 months as we did. decisions, decisions...

Same problem here. I would think the nissan rogue (not the sport) spare tire will fit the qx50 since they both come with similar size wheels/tires combos from factory

My run flats tires kept picking up nails I replaced them regular tires rides actually smoother 🤷🏿‍♂️ Even tho having run flats were pretty good cause it won’t go totally flat I learned that hard way picked up nail on expressway had it towed home 🏡 tire shop 🤦🏿‍♂️ Haven’t had any issues with new tires or worries

For those looking for a spare for 2019+ QX50: the Muraro, Pathfinder, QX60 spare won’t fit - tire is too tall. What you need is the RIM from the QX60 and the TIRE from the Mazda CX-5. You can source both donuts on eBay and have a local tire shop swap rims.

The CX-5 tire is a 155/90 D18, while a QX60 tire is a 165/90 D18, not much difference except for width.

I would say the QX60 spare with the rim will fit.

I just got a spare for my QX50 with the same dimensions as the QX60 and I believe it fits.

If anyone has fit a 165/90D18 donut on their QX50 please let us know.
