Tonneau Cover - new models?

Hi,

Does anyone know if a 2019 tonneau cover can be retrofitted to an older 2012-2017 model? It certainly looks like less of a science project than the OEM cover, and it costs about $150 less

No, Totally different size. But you should be able to find a used one on ebay pretty inexpensively.
Tonneau covers not that easy to find

I wish it were as easy to search ebay for a used tonneau cover for a 2012-2017 QX50. Currently, the lowest price for a USED cover is $225. I'm not expecting a miracle deal, but $225 doesn't thrill me for a used item.

I have been contacting any ebay user that is parting out a wrecked QX50, asking if the cover is available, with zero results - they appear to be the first thing snapped up.

If someone could find a quantity of these cargo covers at a decent price, they could have a cottage industry reselling them.
speaking of Tonneau covers.. anyone using them for the 2019 QX50? What did you buy and do you like it?

Saw some 3rd party options online but people said they didn't like the "gap" between the Tonneau cover and the back seat..
The OEM one is pretty good and reasonably priced in the new QX50. It is two pieces - the cover itself and the small arc piece that covers the gap. You need a socket wrench to install the arc piece - it comes with the little plastic covers for the screw holes, but not the extended wrench. I've noticed when installing them, you want to just screw it in lightly and stop turning the wrench as soon as you get a little resistance. If you screw to far, you'll strip the screw easily.

Hmmm. My cover only has 1 piece. I reclined the back seat to try and cover most of the gap between cover and back seat but sounds like there is another missing piece? The part of the cover i don't like is there is a gap between the cover and window hatch so you can still see into the cargo area through the back window. Any solution for that? Thanks

Go back to your dealer and ask for the rest of the cover.
