I have a 2019 qx50. Bought it new.
When turning the steering wheel while idle, or moving very slow, it makes a high pitched “whirling” noise. The noise is louder and “faster” when the wheel is turned quickly. No steering noise while driving about 10mph. Seems odd for a brand new luxury auto to have the steering column make noise. Thanks in advance for any insight!

Hello. I had the same issue with my QX50. It seems there is a manufacturing defect in the steering arm. It was replaced under warranty by the local dealer. Took them about 5 days to get the parts, replace and test it. No steering issue now.
