After you park your QX50 and step off the car, do you hear a rusty door hinge-like noise?

I have a 2015 QX50 and I hear this noise every time I step out the car. This is only after I park the car. If the car is parked and I get in and out, there is no noise!

P.S. I'm not heavy!

Where do you think it could be coming from? I'm starting to think it could be from the suspension acting up after being worked through on whatever length of driving you're doing.

Being a new vehicle you can always try taking it in for inspection. Just make sure to let them know the exact conditions that expose the sound.

The dealer did a good job in finding the problem. I didn't tell them that I usually put on the parking break. They asked me if I do so, and I confirmed that. So the sound is basically due to little weight shift after I put on the parking break and leave the car. So it's all good.
