HI, EVERYONE . FIRST TIMER HERE . I am trying to find a trustworthy mechanic to fix my output speed sensor . I called 15 shops and all said no they can not fix it or they are 4 months backed up . The second issues I have had that the two mechanics I had looking at the car thought I said wheel sensor . WHAT WHAT WHAT . Nope that is not what I needed or articulated but a few companies do not listen or tell their mechanics they send out the right info . I need my car for work and the dealership is too expensive but not off the table . I'm in Texas 75023 . Does anyone know anybody trusting in this area? 2ndly . How much does the whole job cost . I've read between 700 and 1500 labor then the Part I bought for 166.00.. Also , how long did it take and can a mobile mechanic do it or better if a shop did it . Thanks guys ..I'm a newbie not a dummy. Lol

Hi, Welcome to the QX50 Forum.

Not the most active car forum on the internet for sure ~ this forum gets about 2 questions a week that nobody seems to be able to answer.

Being from Northwest Indiana's Lake Michigan's South Shore ~ sorry ~ can't help with a reliable mechanic in 75023 Texas.

Perhaps try the Nextdoor App ~ it is highly refined to your specific location, and there could be a very reliable, trustworthy, knowledgeable Mechanic close by that some neighbor can highly recommend ~ it's worth a shot.

Don't let the lack of a quick specific answer to your immediate output speed sensor issue discourage you from using this forum for other QX50 related matters, discussions, or general QX50 enthusiast information.

Best of luck on your repair, and don't hesitate to share your QX50 experiences here. We're a small group, but all have one thing in common, we care enough about our QX50s to join a forum, albeit not a highly active one.

Good evening - I can recommend Advanced Auto Repair in Denton. They work on my QX50 (when I can't) and are the only shop I will take my BMW M5 to. They are not the least expensive shop in the Metroplex but are far from the dealer price.

612 Fort Worth Dr S, Denton, TX 76201
940 382 1691

When you call, you might even get the owner - it is very personal service.
