My wife and I bought a new QX50 in September of 2020. We love the car except for the ride, which we HATE. It rides like there are no springs or shocks.

Here are some of the particulars.
It is the Essential Edition 30.
It is Front Wheel Drive.
It has runflat tires and they are on 20 inch rims (I think).
My wife and I are close to 70 years old so we don't drive it hard.
The car has not even had its first service as it has less that 4000 miles on it.

Two questions come to mind.
1. Do they all ride like this?
2. Can something be done to change the ride?

We paid cash for the car, but are ready to sell it for something that rides better.

Run Flat Tires are notorious for giving the feeling of a Harsh Ride.

Not having a Spare Tire to save weight and space means your new QX50 has the awful Run Flat Tires.

Swap out the Tires with Non-Flat Tires. Many people do.

Buy a Triple AAA Membership to deal with a flat tire . . . or add road side assistance to your insurance policy.

We have the 20" run flats and the ride is pretty nice - even on some bad Wisconsin roads. It's an AWD, but not sure that should change the ride dynamics.
You might want to talk to the dealer (or trusted mechanic/shop) and see if they can change out the shocks. Hate to see you dump a beautiful ride if something easy can be done.

Agreed. If you don't have cell phone coverage, or are out in the middle of nowhere, or driving late at night with most shops closed, not having a spare is not a good option. Run Flats are only viable for city driving, not long distance. Plus, your are going to pay a premium for a harsher and noisier drive. Not a good return on investment.
