Malfunction & warning light

Daughter & I driving home and my QX came to an abrupt stop and both the Malfunction and Warning lights came on. Bradshaw dealership picked the car up Saturday. Has anyone experienced this. I'm glad we were not on a highway (we were in a neighborhood going 20 mph)...Yikes - I'm a little scared now.
