The trunk lift struts have a plastic cover that prevents me from accessing the rubber on the strut, which I believe needs lubrication. When the hutch opens up, it makes this annoying loud grunt noise. I watched serious videos, and the common solution is to regrease the rubber part, but I can't get to it due to the covers. Is there a way to remove the cover and put everything back together?
