Infiniti QX50 is listed in "New Vehicles that area Flying under the Radar" article

Autonet.ca seems to think that the QX50 is just flying under the radar, as they have added it to their little list. Not muc reasoning is given for why the QX50 gets a spot on the list. Mostly the caption talks about Infiniti's change in nomenclature.

Autonet writes, "The EX ... er, QX50, hasn't been anything mind-blowing in the past, and we're not sure a name change will be enough to put it ahead of a quickly-growing list of competitors."

Do you agree with Autonet? Is the QX50 flying under the radar? Will it not be able to compete with its large list of competitors?

Here is the full list:
- Kia Cadenza
- Jeep Cherokee
- Infiniti QX50
- Acura RLX
- Mitsubishi Mirage
- BMW 4-Series
- Hyundai Equus
- Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class
- Mini Paceman
- Toyota Prius C

Well I do agree that the QX50's competitors can make it fade into the background, but that says more about the competition than it does about the QX50. I think the QX50 does a great job of competing in the segment. So maybe the QX50 is under the radar a bit, but that just means it can come in for a sneak attack.

it's somewhat new, i think it just needs more time for people to become familiar with it.
It certainly seems like a lot of the vehicles on this list aren't under the radar now. The CLA is selling really well and so is the Jeep Cherokee. The QX50 might still be under the radar though. It needs to get refreshed or redesigned soonish.

those are all new vehicles and QX50 is a renamed vehicle... not really much to say
How is the CLA flying under the radar? There is so much hype on that thing.

It came from a Canadian website, maybe in Canada they're flying under the radar? But like you, i don't see how they are, everyone is talking about them and a lot of people want one, a lot already have their's.
While the release dates of these vehicles in Canada are usually a little after the release dates in America, I don't think that is the reason why the list doesn't make sense.

One car on the list that does make sense to me is the Hyundai Equus. That is a nice car, but I don't think it has quite the reputation that it should.

The CLA never belonged on the list though.

The Cherokee and Prius C are also selling very well. Not sure why those are on there

Maybe the guy who put this list together hasnt left his house in a few years. Probably lives under a rock.

Probably, i dont know where this list came from but I hope that who ever put it together knows a thing or two about cars.
well i guess the term flying under the radar is subjective

what is not obvious to him probably is more obvious to others

that is true, good point.
im pretty well aware that these cars are selling well
a car flying under the radar would be a car that sells relatively well considering the fact that nobody knows about the product

something we've never heard of.
that and likely to hold it's value better in the long run on the used market.
