I leased a qx50 recently. I contacted the dealership within a couple of days and they wouldn’t help me. I have the Essential w Conv pkg. I have a lot of back and neck issues. While the car was comfortable on the test drive, after a couple of hours of driving it, I was in pain. I’ve adjusted the seats every possible way but no matter what I do, I’m in pain or too close to the steering wheel and/or my feet are too far from the pedals. I’m not tall but I’m not that short. Yet, I cannot rest my heel on the floor to operate the brake. I get pain down my right leg after a couple of hours in the car. In other positions, I cannot see the turn signals or gauges, as the steering wheel blocks them, due to the position that I have to use. Ergonomically, this car just doesn’t work for me.
I was told that it is not possible to sell the car to an individual OR to any dealerships that are NOT Nissan or Infiniti, which does me no good.
if someone takes over the lease, I am still responsible and my credit isat Risk. I cannot figure out what would compel anybody to make the payments under those circumstances. Once the car is signed over to someone else, I’m still responsible?!So, basically, Infiniti has me completely trapped in a car that I cannot drive! I don’t know what to do!

So sorry to hear about your discomfort - I suffer pretty bad lower back issues and my wife and I took a 12hr/day 4 day trip and I actually felt BETTER at the end. BUT I am 6 feet tall and maybe was having a decent "back day" during the trip. There are some lease "transfer" companies out there. Never used one, but it seems they moved total ownership over to the new leasee after buying out the original lease holder (Infiniti Financial?) And whoever told you that you cannot sell this to an individual is wrong. If you can satisfy the lease and the value they assign, you buy out the car and own it and sell it to whoever you want - you OWN it. Call a couple different dealers, maybe you'll find a lease manager that might be able to help you out (they might have a customer looking for your vehicle config). Also, a letter to corporate might help (Infiniti & financial).

I also have lower back pain, and somewhat limited neck movement too. I’m 5’ 9” and 162 lbs….Joe Average I guess but with back and neck issues. Ah, the joys of aging!! My wife has the 2019 (J55) QX50 and I have the 2017 (J50); both QX50s but entirely different vehicles. Anyway, it took me weeks to find comfortable seating positions that wouldn’t cripple me on 4+ hour drives. After two hours my right leg started to cramp up and I relieved this by adjusting the seat bottom so that it tilts slightly forward (i.e., front lower than back). I also found that I needed to recline the seat back a couple of degrees more than I would have judged from a short drive. Now both cars are fine for any distance. My point is, try anything and everything, even the unintuitive adjustments you’d never expect. It worked for me.
