the QX50 is a relatively small SUV, only i didn't realize how small until i found out how much cargo capacity the 2014 Corvette Stingray has...

Infiniti QX50: 527L

Corvette Stingray: 634L
Honda Fit: 585L
Subaru STi: 538L
Buick Encore: 533L
CRV: 1,054L
RAV4: 1,090L
Escape: 971L
Equinox: 1,803L
CX-5: 966L
Outlander Sport: 615L

Now, granted not all of these vehicles will be cross shopped with the QX50, in fact maybe none of them will be, but i find it a little unacceptable that a Honda Fit, a compact hatch has more capacity than a CUV...

Even looking at CRV, RAV4 and Escape, these are all vehicles similarily sized to QX50, how is it that they have nearly double the capacity of QX50?

Not all of the space of the vehicle is used for cargo though. Having less cargo space may mean that there is more room in the cabin for passengers. If all you care about is cargo space then you should buy a pick-up truck.

This is one of the downsides to the EX35/QX50

Just something you have to live with. If cargo space is a requirement you will probably have to look for another car.
Yeah it's either the QX50 with a roof top carrier or move up to a QX70 or even a QX60, I would go for a QX70 though, got to love how sporty it is over the QX60

I did read that Infiniti would be increasing the interior space on the QX60 because they think they are losing sales to BMW and Porsche because of it. Maybe the QX60 would be a better choice for you?
I can't see how else they can expand on interior space, the only way is to stretch the car onto a longer wheel base. im not sure Infiniti is ready for that yet.

yeah in china they always somehow end up with a long wheel base no matter what car. The business owners there are making a killing and now they just to enjoy what their fortune has brought them. I wouldn't be surprised if infinti does well with the Qx50 there.

Until our economy does any better I dont think LWB will be in that much of a demand seems liek the only people that would be interested is the people who buy them with hired drivers.
Very true. China's economy is doing so well they make LWB models for people that have their own driver and need the extra room in the back for themselves. The U.S. is not even close to being like that.
