Headlights not automatic with wipers

I have a 2019 QX50 that I got last summer. When the windshield wipers come on the headlights don’t come on. I previously have had a QX60 and a JX35 and on those the headlights came on automatically if the wipers started. Service says they should come on but not able to figure out why not coming on. Since it’s the law that headlights be on if wipers on and I’m used to that happening on my previous Infiniti’s, I’d like to get to the bottom of it. Does anyone else have this issue?

I've noticed this too - but the DRL's (daytime running lights) are quite a bit brighter than normal DRLs.
I would like to see the rear running lights turn on with the wipers, but I think that might be the reason the front lights remain off.
