Fan started to run at full speed making a loud noise. Took it to dealer and they said that it happens very now and then and not to worry. Said it could last 5-10 minutes or couple hours. It’s not doing any harm, as it sounds terrible. Left car at dealer for and hour came back after they look at it. Started up and no run away fan..
is this really normal or they pulling my leg. Still under warranty as only 7000km on the 2021 Q50. Just don’t want to be stuck on the road if it happens again

my car is doing the same thing I plan on trading it in don't like the sound and way to early for problems car still under warranty as well

Mine did this 2x only after a battery change... then never again. Wondering if the battery disconnect or low voltage triggered a heat sensor?

I’m at about 37k miles and mine is doing the same thing. I noticed it after I got an oil change. Wonder if something they did when they changed the oil triggered it.

Wife has 2020 Essential Edition 30. Was at the dealer 3 weeks ago and I too complained about the horrid fan noise after turning off the engine. It only happened once before. They said it's a known issue and there's a TSB on it with a "fix". Don't know what the fix is though.
