I am soon to be a new owner of a 2017 QX50 and I am looking to upgrade the screen capability to add Apple CarPlay from Car Integrations.

Has anyone here tried this upgrade?

Having a 2016, my iPhone automatically syncs to the Bose Sound System . . .

I slap the iPhone right next to existing 7" mini screen via a magnetic vent mount . . .

I have Pandora & Sirus XM apps and all my stored iTunes in which enjoy the multitude of listening choices all at my fingertips for the price of the $3 Cell Phone Holder and minimal fee Sirius charges me every time I threaten to quit them on another older car's XM Subscription ~ it is like $3.99 a month

This seems like a less invasive and costly option than hacking up the dash and center stack to your 2017 . .

I'm interested in it too. Have you explored getting it installed at a dealer? Or are you going to do the work yourself? I'm having a hard time finding someone qualified in Minnesota.

Have you explored getting it installed at a dealer? Or are you going to do the work yourself? I'm having a hard time finding someone qualified in Minnesota.

I was thinking of paying someone to install it, but there are several different systems available for retrofit and I'm having trouble deciding if it's worth the $$ to get CarPlay?
