Three times in the last month my 2020 QX50 has automatically braked while I was accelerating, today on the NJ Turnpike while passing a semi. There was nothing in front of me any of these times. Anyone else have this happen to them?

Hey I just posted on the forum for this same issue. We’ve also have a 2020 had the car since June 2020 and the lease is up Sept 2023. We have the essential edition 30 in grey with the dark wheels, grill etc. the other thing the car does is the bottom screen reboots itself once in a while and I’m also not crazy about the A/C in the car I feel it doesn’t cool properly. I’ve taken it to the delayer several times and complained. They’ve done software update a checked the sensors a say everything checks out but we continue to have the issues, obviously they can’t get the car to duplicate what it is that happens when we drive it. There is one specific area though I noticed in an on ramp there must be a friction coming from a road sign on that ramp that always triggers that auto breaking promptly while we are accelerating it’s the only thing I can think of because there is nothing around not a car in front nothing. I recently emailed the dealer again and told them. It’s dangerous we can get rear ended if the car decides to break unexpectedly. Any how this forum is very dead I see no one has ever responded to yours and so far no one’s responded to mine I guess that’s a sign that this cars not very popular lol, but I’m glad I found someone who has the same model year and issue as I do. Any luck with yours?

My wife has a 2020 Essential Edition30 and it's done this auto braking several times also. Complained to dealer and they couldn't replicate. Told them how dissatisfied we are eith the car. This car has so many problems so we're fthinking of trading it in.

Same here. Dealers checked it out couldn’t replicate. I have a feeling it’s something with reflections that hit the front sensors. Besides that there are other issues, like both screens would reboot on my wife out of no where. The radios stations seem to be staticky at times even playing between two stations. The A/C sucks during the summer and the digital mph view option on the dash seems to appear and disappear when it wants to.

Lol. I've been holding back on my rants about this car. Worst car my wife and I ever owned. GPS map is off (by 2 blocks to 1/2 mile) on some of the addresses we've inputted, FM/AM won't turn on at times yet bluetooth/SAT works, front passenger door has wind noise at freeway speed (dealer can't figure it out), navigation suddenly has tracking dots at times. Can't remember all the other complaints my wife had/has. That's why I drive a Toyota... 😆

Ah yes If we had a dollar for every complaint they’ve given us on this car .
I’ve been a die hard infiniti fan since 2009 we’ve leased only that brand and all the cars before this Qx50 were exceptional. I did have an engine issue on my qx50 red sport but infiniti replaced the bottom block. I got out on my last one the q50 red sport and got into a bmw. I was waiting for the Qx55 reveal and that night I was so disappointed when I saw the interior same as the qx50 and same old infotainment old technology. The newer qx60 is nice with updated tech but it’s too much car. We have until September an although it has some equity in it the way the market is right now doesn’t make sense for me to hit the eject button on it prematurely.
