2022 QX50 Multiple Electronic Issues

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share my experience to see if anyone else is having the same issues. I've been having issues with the below since I bought the car. While the dealership has seemed helpful and sympathetic, my car is still not fixed. Responses are: "we ran a diagnostic and there aren't any codes", "we took it for a test drive and couldn't duplicate issue", to "this is normal", it's NOT normal. Here's the list of issues.

  1. Dash light with a car and a star comes on and off
  2. USB charger not working in the front
  3. Clicking noise from left side dash, randomly started and lasted for 48 hours and randomly stopped. Rear wiper sound when wipers were off
  4. Apple car play doesn’t always connect, and sometimes if it does, it's not responsive at times. Sometimes when plugged in, phone doesn’t charge
  5. Car randomly slams on the breaks approximately once a month
  6. Rear seat belts detector not working. For example, when driving, the alarm warning that a passenger in the rear doesn’t have their seatbelt on will activate, even though there's no passenger. Also, when there is a passenger without a seatbelt on, the alarm doesn't go off.
  7. Front vents make a clicking noise when switching settings. They say this is normal, but it just started happening, and doesn't always happen. They said they tested 3 cars on the lot and they all do this.
It's been in for service for a total of 14 days so far, and I've only had it for 8 months.

Would love to hear from anyone who also is having these issues. OR am I being too picky? Geesh.

Thanks!

Infinity does not stand d behind their cars--inudjng corporate. I had electronic issues that have been a "k own problem" since 2015 and they would not tell me when or if a fix was even in the que. I dumped my 2022 qx50 9 months after buying it. Bought a GMC Acadia and love it. If you do this a d purchased any extended warranty or maintenance package, be sure to pursue getting your money back. It will take a while but I just got my last refund. Good luck.

The brake deployment happened to me while on a Hwy where the speed limit was 70mph. I was in the right hand lane. Took it in. Questions/Excuses were:
1) was the sun setting
2) was there anything in the road
3) was it raining
4) were there bugs in the air
What ?!! I said NO to everything. Then the dealer service manager asked me to leave the car.
They said they couldn’t recreate the issue and told me it would likely happen again. 😳 because the sensors on the front of the car was sensitive. Then the service manager said it was a bug. I kept saying NO. I told them I wasn’t comfortable driving the car. If it happens again they are getting the car back. Some serious nonsense.
many folks have complained about this. It must be a known issue
