New QX50 with gas odor coming from passenger side under hood. Has anyone else had this issue? Was it resolved? Any information would be helpful.
Yes, I have the same problem with my new 2021 QX50. (I posted on this forum about a month ago about this issue.) I have a service appointment on July 7 and hope to get it resolved. I found a Technical Service Bulletin on line, issued in September 2020, that I believe pertains to this problem. I also called the Infiniti Consumer Affairs Department and had them open up a file to document this problem with my vehicle. I will be happy to update you after the service visit.

I have the same issue with my 2019 QX50 . The odor is so bad, I had to park the car and never use it again. I have a lung issue and as a result of driving this car with this odor I have been diagnosed with lung disease and treated with lung medication, very serious for my health.
Infinity tested the car and had two comments; The service manager claimed not to be able to smell the odor (he later admitted he had Covid and his sense of smell was diminished) their second recommendation was to "drive with the windows down".
I mentioned the fix to Infinity Consumer affairs but they are not interested. They know about this issue but have not made it public and as a result putting us all at severe risk.
The have taken other cars back as early as in 2019 for this issue but refuse my case and will not take it back.
Looking for a lawyer I see no other way but to take them to court.

I just purchased a 2019 and have smelled it. Thought nothing of it, but then saw this as a new member to the forum.

Just as an FYI, the Infiniti dealer said they would get me another Infiniti in a trade and they made the statement, "we will not resell your car, only send to auction aftermarket since we are aware of the odor issue".... obviously I will NEVER get another Infiniti but good to know that they are aware and what they say when confronted.
