My QX50 2019 VC turbo is making a buzzing sound, which I feel is coming from the rear right side door. When the car is turned on and is idling the sound is like a buzzing T , first I thought it was from the speaker but then I realized it’s from the rear seat side. When I accelerate and the car picks up speed it stops but when I let go the gas pedal and the car is moving the sound comes back. I switched of AC AND RADIO but it still makes the sound when the car is idle or when car moves (with gas Pedal off). It’s an annoying buzzing sound.

definitely not the brakes or bearings or AC belt or engine belt. I popped the hood but no buzzing noise there ..

Any help?? What could it be??? Suddenly started today after I switched on the car. It’s driving on 9K miles

Hi did you ever figure out the issue? I am noticing the same exact issue. It's under warranty, might take it to infiniti.

I did take it to Infiniti but at the point the sound was not coming. It’s very random for my car. They told me it could be the AC fan but I reminded them that it comes even if AC , fan, radio , everything else is off. It comes even car is not in motion.
I feel the noise sounds more like the brake is just touch the disc and it’s that metal screeching sound.. more like a train coming to a stop at the platform

Interesting. Did they investigate further ? I’m assuming yours is under warranty as well? I recorded video/sound of my issue. I plan to show it to them. My hope is that it helps narrow down the location and one of their mechanics know where to start.

Mine occasionally makes a buzzing noise only when going slow (~20mph and under). I usually notice it when going through parking lots and the best way I can describe the sound is the noise an old computer makes when processing information. Occasionally if I try to take off too fast from a stop, I’ll hear a whine. Slightly concerning, but does not do it if I’m already moving and floor the gas pedal. Based on Nissan/Jatcos track record with CVT reliability, I still have concerns over the long term reliability of the transmissions in the QX50 which would be my first guess as to the source of the whine. I suppose the turbo could potentially be the cause of a whine as well. Again, it’s a very minor and only occasionally so it might be a nonissue. Hopefully these are indeed just “whiny” vehicles in nature and if not, if it can break within the next 10k miles, that would be great since I’m getting close to the end of my warranty lol!

Can anyone provide feedback to this sound? Are you experiencing the same noise coming from the bottom of the rear passenger seats. This sound is so annoying. It tends to go off once driving over 50Kmph but once the gas pedal is lifted the noise is back.

It’s your in tank fuel pump. Had mine replaced with the dealer as it’s under warranty. The qx 50 has two fuel pumps.

Yes, I took it to the dealer and they have sourced the problem to the Fuel pump in the fuel tank.

I didnt know there are two fuel pumps, where is the second one? Are you talking about the fuel pressure regulator at the engine?
