We just bought a new QX50 in Jan 2019. With less than 1,000 km's we got a service light warning....something about emission control or gas cap not being on. We took it straight to the dealer and they said it is a "known issue" with the new model but they don't have a fix yet? I am not sure I understand this. They just sent us off and said to call back to see if a fix has been determined. How can this be a "known" issue and no fix yet. I see Motortrend has a long term test going and they are at 15,000 miles and 8 months and no issue like this. The service staff told us to drive it but not out of town...?? I guess being out of town makes a difference.

They re-set the light but it came back on the next day. Anyone else with this "know issue".

News to me. We have 7000 miles on our personal one, plus lots more miles on our work demo models and no similar issues. There is a reprogramming TSB out there, so maybe that will address it?
