I can turn cruise control on, but can not set it, both Intelligent Cruise Control (IC), and regular. With IC when I press the set button the "MPH" display blinks and will not set. With regular cruise nothing at all happens.
I replaced the cruise-control/brake control switch but still does not work.
I suspect that the "set" switch on the steering wheel may be the problem.
If anyone has any suggestions I would be appreciative.

Another sensor that the Cruise Control references is the Throttle Position sensor. If this sensor is faulty, you could notice a rich condition, or stumbling on acceleration. If you are not seeing these other symptoms, it could be as simple as the switch or it could be the actuator or the module. Unfortunately, unless someone else on the forum knows otherwise - you can't troubleshoot these independently.
I would go to a trusted independent shop that can provide diagnosis, and then determine if the unit requiring replacement can be done at home or if you need to let the shop move forward.

I've never attempted to use the Cruise Control on my '16 QX50 . . .

Perhaps that saying something about how engaging it is to drive . . .
