Hello All.

I recently purchased a 2016 qx50. dealer charged me:
$3080 for extended warranty to 8 yr 120k and
$1600 for 4 year / 40k mile maintenance prepaid plan.

I felt like I was pressured into it. it was 11pm and I've been sitting in the dealer room supposed to pick up the car since 7:30 and we all wanted to leave.

I looked at the cost of the scheduled 6 month maintenance and I feel 1600 seems very expensive. can you guys please help shed light on this subject? should I cancel ?

car is bought new and no lien. very much appreciated! I love the car, but not feeling happy about the experience at the dealer

I bought mine through TrueCar and there were no hassles. I got the price on the Internet and they ordered the car for me.
Total time at the dealer was about 1.5 hours. I told them I was a mechanic and will service the vehicle myself.

For the first service, I had to pay $250. I guess next service will be more expensive. I would have purchased it if I was offered $1600 for 4 years.
