2016 Infiniti QX50 to Debut in September with Longer Wheelbase

Expect to see the face lifted Infiniti QX50 at dealerships in September. The crossover has received a number of changes and updates that should make it more attractive to potential buyers.

The most noticeable change is a longer wheelbase which brings more passenger room to the QX50. It also gets a fully updates exterior and a revised cabin which move it closer to the design of the Q50 sedan.

When it comes to the engine, nothing has changed. The 2016 Infiniti QX50 comes with the same 3.7-liter V6 that came with the previous version. That engine is connected to a seven-speed automatic transmission that comes connected to either the rear or all four wheels.

Standard features now include a power moonroof, as well as heated front seats. A new color is also on offer: Hagane Blue.

Finally, there is a new Premium Plus option package that features an Infiniti navigation system, Around View Monitor, streaming audio via Bluetooth and front and rear sonar system.

Will these changes make the QX50 more competitive against rivals like the BMW X1, Audi Q3 and Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class?
