As the title says I will be putting in the 2nd power steering pump since I've owned the car ( 3 Total) . The common denominator being the weather. Here in Alberta it recently got down to -30. After the deep freeze I started my car and could hear the whine of my pump. The next day the steering had been severely effected. This was basically the same issues I had with the first pump. Am I doing something wrong or the parts being used just not cut out for Alberta weather?

Just a few Guesses here . . .

The Extreme Cold effects the ' Pliability ' of the Rubber Belt driving the Pump ~ hence, affecting the Pump's operation

Or could be the Bearings in the Pump Drive aren't suited for the Cold and can seize or slow . .

Winters Suck ~ and they can age a car and it's many components prematurely

Other than this PSP X3 issue ~ How has your 2016 held and and performed for you ?
